I’d like to wish you all a rather belated but extremely Happy New Year 2024. Let us hope for a hugely successful and prosperous year for everyone.
No sooner have the festivities ended, but here we are now, full steam ahead into 2024, with Christmas and New Year celebrations all but a distant memory. It certainly feels that way.
As last year, the beginnings of this are as relentless as ever. Our sales ‘Kick Off’ took place in Manchester earlier in the month. And we have some exciting plans in place, which include new recruits to our sales team.
We also have confirmation of the ‘teaser’ I mentioned at the back end of last year. Very soon, we’ll be announcing the opening of our latest facility at the UK’s second-largest ocean port. Advantage Worldwide, Southampton, is due to open its doors in late February.
In addition to our new facility in Exeter, which opened towards the end of last year, this new facility now brings our presence in the UK to five locations in total. They all offer air, ocean, road and 3PL services to our much-valued customers and overseas partner network on a regional and local level.

Throughout the year we will continue to update you with our office developments as well as introductions to the sales team and new joiners here at AWL. But for now, and although we have not quite finalised our YE 2023 numbers, I am very happy to report we have seen yet again some solid growth in 2023. This bodes well for our expansion plans and further growth we are looking forward to this year.
My mantra: There's no sense in standing still
The UK economy. even with falling inflation and declining market interest rates, is expected to see some growth, albeit moderately, as the economists say, in 2024. When I read this news, it reconfirmed my own mantra: There's no sense in standing still. Let’s get on the front foot, learn from yesterday, live for today and hope for tomorrow!
Happy reading and wishing all a truly blessed 2024.
