A Challenging Year Ahead… With a Very Positive Outlook

Writer: David StevensDavid Stevens

Greetings to all and wishing a belated Happy New Year and, of course, Happy Chinese Lunar New Year of the Snake to our readers and followers wherever you are.

As always, at this early time of the year, we are busy wrapping up our 2024 management financials and forecasting what 2025 will bring to the table. And as always, a very positive outlook is to be had.

Although year-end numbers are not yet finalised, we have seen an incredible year-on-year (2023 / 2024) growth rate of over 20% in revenues. This has been aided by the introduction of two new offices last year in Exeter and Southampton, along with significant contract wins throughout our established locations.

We have added additional members to our sales teams. Therefore, as much as I would not like to forecast similar growth in 2025, it certainly does give us a target to aim for. I believe we may get close, but it will not be for the want of trying.

Here at AWL, we are always open to adding team members to assist with our growth plans in 2025. That includes opening new facilities in the UK if such opportunities arise with you ambitious individuals out there.

If UK Government forecasts are to be believed, and of course, the new US administration with their proposed tariffs yet to be fully experienced nor impact known, the year will indeed be challenging.  However, with the platform we have here in the UK as one of the UK's largest independent logistics providers and our never-ending desire to grow, develop and attract new business opportunities, I am once again confident of a very positive year ahead. Onwards and upwards!

Let me leave you with a note of positivity as we embark on the New Year, and that is to let us celebrate the dawn of 2025 as a new chapter of hope, growth, and boundless opportunities.
